A long-time dream has become a reality. In partnership with Shanelle Montana and Redesign (a non-profit), Alicia Belton and Janice Downing are now the proud owners of The Historic Coliseum Building located in the Longfellow Neighborhood at 2708 East Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN 55406. For the last three years the building has been carefully redeveloped into restaurant, retail, office, and event center spaces. Together, we desire to create a collective community that is supportive and inclusive of small and BIPOC owned businesses. 

As the home for our S.H.A.K.E. values (Service. Honesty. Adaptability. Kindness. Experience.), we invite you to our first FUN-Raiser to both celebrate the opening of the Historic Coliseum Building and share our vision to become a thriving hub of innovation and community that champions local businesses and events that add to the vibrancy and diversity of the Twin Cities.

Event Highlights

• Contribute to the beginning of a co-created community spaces agenda
• Dedicated time for networking, music, food, and more (cocktail hour is from 5-6pm)

• Taste an amazing dinner experience cultivated by Steve Hark’s group at Entourage Catering

Our featured nonprofit organization, DIVAS for Social Justice, will be one of our tenants. This NYC based 501(c)3 organization is expanding to Minneapolis and will use the Coliseum as their second establishment. DIVAS for Social Justice empowers and inspires youth living in under-served communities to use tech and visual arts to promote social justice and become change makers in their communities. 

Small businesses and non-profit organizations who serve underrepresented communities are near and dear to our hearts. We invite you to mark your calendars for this evening to recognize the good works that will happen here.
