Experience Local Pop Ups

In the summer of 2023, Longfellow Business Association with funding from the City of Minneapolis Business District Support Grant, organized a series of pop ups at various Longfellow businesses. Through experiences and services, LBA promoted some of our great neighborhood businesses.

Curiosity studio & Arbeiter Brewing:  What Helps You grow?

Curiosity Studio led a screenprinting workshop reflecting on the question “What makes you grow?” during a pop-up at Arbeiter Brewing.  A collaboration of two local businesses, this event brought over 50 neighbors together.

Curiosity Studio is a community art studio in Minneapolis. Their mission is to help people get to know themselves and others through art making.

Arbeiter Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom crafting highly approachable beers from a wide range of beer styles.

Mother Earth Gardens & El Norteño: Succulents 101: Houseplant Care

The team at Mother Earth Gardens led a hands on workshop about potting and caring for succulent plants including what kind of light is best, soil and watering on the beautiful patio of El Norteño.

Mother Earth Gardens is a garden center that specializes in organic gardening, sustainably grown plants, and eco-friendly products for every season. They have an ever-evolving variety of houseplants, succulents and creatively imagined containers to plant them in.

Portraits from 6ft

Portraits from 6ft was a project of photographer Carina Lofgren that captures Minnesotans’ everyday lives amid the Covid-19 crisis. During this time of uncertainty and social distance, this project brings people together by sharing unique stories from our community. The LBA and our partner organization Redesign worked with Carina in 2020 and 2021 to document Longfellow businesses impacted by the pandemic.
