Main Street Alliance Small Business Stabilization Fund - APPLICATIONS OPEN

Main Street Alliance is launching a grassroots small business fund to support community-serving enterprises.

Timeline:

  • March: Applications open and reviewed on a rolling basis

  • March: Rapid distribution of funds

Funding is intended to:

  • Prevent layoffs

  • Maintain worker pay continuity

  • Cover essential operating expenses

  • Stabilize businesses at risk of closure

Proposed $7 Million City of Minneapolis Small Business Stabilization Program

Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez proposed a $7 million stabilization program to support businesses impacted by recent economic disruptions. The Minneapolis City Council has now approved the program, and it is currently awaiting action from Mayor Jacob Frey.

If enacted, the program would provide direct financial relief to qualifying small businesses across the city.

Minneapolis Foundation: Economic Response Fund - CLOSED 3/4

The Minneapolis Foundation has launched emergency economic response grants to support businesses experiencing material disruption.

What this fund supports:

  • Payroll and job retention

  • Worker continuity and emergency scheduling costs

  • Essential operating expenses

  • Stabilization support to prevent permanent closure

Priority is given to community-serving businesses whose stability directly protects workers and neighborhood services.

MniSota Community Action Network (MniCAN) – hosted by Indigenous Roots and in partnership with the Economic Reconstruction Coalition, we invite mutual aid doers of all walks of life to plug into this statewide network of providing rapid response and mutual aid for impacted families across Minnesota.

Promise Act have gross annual revenue of $750,000 or less based on the prior taxable year.

 Mutual Aid – a listing of food relief, neighborhood, and church-based support.

Shared Commercial Kitchen Directory – the Minnesota Department of Agriculture manages a public directory listing shared commercial kitchen spaces.

Hennepin County Elevate program - Hennepin County provides free technical assistance and legal assistance to qualifying businesses located in Hennepin County.

St. Thomas Small Business Development Center provides free, confidential business consulting services and priced workshops to help established businesses and startups develop strategies to attract customers, increase sales and improve profitability.

 Rental Assistance the State’s Housing Support Program pays an approved provider for housing costs and items that people need to stay housed.

Minnesota Department of Corrections – this page exists to correct the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) repeated false claims regarding the Minnesota Department of Corrections' (DOC) cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
